About Us
OEM Industries, Inc. specializes in the manufacture of precision and commercial gears, as well as other machined parts. OEM opened for business in 1947. Ed Steiner, Sr. began the business with only one gear shaper, one lathe, and a mill. OEM quickly but carefully grew to fill the shop. We now have Pfauter hobbing machines, Fellows gear shapers, Fadal and Okuma CNC machining centers, Okuma CNC lathes, Kapp grinder, J&L Turret lathes, 36/40 Niles VTl, Bridgeport mills, Milwaulkee mills and various other machinery, as well as all the inspection equipment. By carefully guarding the quality of workmanship, OEM has maintained many of its original customers, including the very first.
Ed Steiner, Sr. passed the business to Ed Steiner, Jr. who has now passed the business into to the very capable hands of Edward Steiner III, who grew up in the business.
The company has proudly stepped into the CNC and highly computerized world. It communicates via website, fax and E-Mail.
OEM Industries, Inc. is ISO compliant and utilizes precision equipment. We have trained employees in order to satisfy the special needs of its custom gear customers. The equipment is especially adapted for quick production of parts that fulfill the specifications enumerated by each customer. With its new machining centers, OEM Industries, Inc. handles non-gear related machine work. The people at OEM Industries, Inc. strive to give their customers the best quality to handle the load of high production and small enough to maintain a personal relationship with each individual customer.
